C++ Programmers wanted

We are seeking for
C++ Programmers
Position description
We are in a need of someone with good C++ knowledge. Your initial tasks will spin around FIFE -game engine. Python knowledge is a plus as it's the scripting language FIFE uses. The engine itself is coded in C++ so that's what you would mostly be using.
We expect
All in all, the most important feat is enthusiasm towards what you are doing.
What will you get
Opportunity to work with a community that shares the same goal and ambition to create something outstanding. Experience in community management / design / 2D gamedev artist -related works. Lots of fun times with the crazy bunch that we are. Unfortunately none of us is getting paid, so neither will you. It didn't stop us, hope it won't stop you.
What will you be getting involved in?
Keys of Naand .com is a portal aimed to help the development of a 2D RPG titled with the same name. Whether you would be a portal manager, graphic designer, game designer, game artist, animator or programmer, you would be involved in actual game development.
Brief description of the game
Keys of Naand is an open source, singleplayer, 2D isometric, medieval, fantasy RPG using FIFE as game engine. It plays in the setting of Farland and uses d20 System's ruleset. KoN is licenced under GPL and is absolutely free. As the game will be based on FIFE, it will work cross platform on Windows, Linux and Macintosh.
Unfortunately nowadays RPG developers neglect the role-playing aspect in their games and concentrate much more on graphics. The KoN team aims at focussing on a complex story with more roleplaying elements while still offering fast phased action. We want to give the player the chance to make his/her own decisions. Your choices in the game will have different consequences. Thus you as a player will have a stake in the story. Complex dialogs will allow you to interact with your environment and especially to play the role which you wish (comparable to the dialog trees used in Fallout and Planescape: Torment).
Target milestone
KoN is free both as in free speech and as in free beer. We plan to release a demo, which would include Act 1 of the story, at summer 2008.
Technology
KoN is based on an isometric 2D RPG game engine called FIFE. FIFE itself is written in C++, but allows the usage of the scripting language Python which KoN will be using. This means you don't have to be a programming expert to work on KoN. Being in contact with mvBarracuda, the FIFE-admin, gives us the possibility to have an influence on the development of our game engine and to get the best support. Besides we're in touch with the Zero-Project, a post-apocalyptical Fallout-like RPG, which uses FIFE, too.
With FIFE, KoN will run cross platform on Windows, Linux and Macintosh.
Our artists are using open source programs The Blender and The GIMP.
