KoN stands for Keys of Naand. It's an open-source, single-player, 2d isometric, fantasy role-playing game. Our goal is to create a technically playable RPG with an especially interesting and well executed storyline with a twist of puzzle in it.

Q: What KoN tries to be?
  • KoN tries to be especially engaging to those players that enjoy following the storyline and be engaged in dialogs.
  • KoN tries to be engaging also to those players that enjoy solving puzzles (in KoN this happens via the non-linear storyline).
  • KoN should also include enjoyable battles and interesting character development.

Q: What KoN doesn't try to be?
  • A massive open-ended modern RPG like Morrowind -series.
  • A fighting 'only' RPG like Diablo -series.
  • A MMORPG.
  • A “copy” of any existing RPG

Q: Are you building KoN from scratch?

No, we're going to use the game-engine FIFE, which stands for Flexible Isometric Fallout(-like) Engine. Being in contact with the FIFE-team enables us to get first-class support.


Q: In what kind of world is KoN playing?

KoN plays in the world of Farland.
